Using the website
- You may browse and use this website for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Photographs, text and page designs on this site belong to us or our suppliers and may not be copied or reused without permission.
- You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with its operation.

Our pieces
Almost everything we sell is antique, vintage or second hand and therefore unique. Each piece is sold as described in its listing, and honest signs of age, wear, previous repair and restoration are part of its character rather than faults. Photographs are taken carefully but colour and grain can vary between screens. Dimensions given are approximate and should be checked against your space, including doorways, stairs and lifts, before ordering.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and do not include delivery.
- Payment is taken at checkout, which is operated securely by Shopify.
- Because stock is shared with our eBay shop, a piece can occasionally sell elsewhere at the same moment. If that happens we will contact you and refund you in full.
- If an obvious pricing error occurs, we are not obliged to complete the sale at the incorrect price. We will tell you and offer a full refund.
Your order
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We reserve the right to decline an order, for example where a piece is no longer available or where delivery is not practical.
Delivery and collection
Delivery is never included in the price. Every piece is quoted individually because size, weight, fragility and destination all change the cost. Once your order is placed we contact you to arrange delivery or collection and confirm the price before anything is moved. Full detail is on our delivery and returns page.
Cancellation and returns
If you are a consumer buying online you normally have 14 days from receiving your order to change your mind, and a further 14 days to return the piece. Return carriage is at your cost unless the item was misdescribed or arrived damaged. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our delivery and returns page sets out how to start a return.
Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought before the courts of England and Wales.
