Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for auction this very rare original Victorian hand sawn corner bench, fully restored with Chesterfield cigar brown leather

A very good looking collectable and rare bench. As you can see by the pictures of the base this is an early hand sawn piece, typically mid Victorian era with beautifully carved detailing around the trim and legs

The stool has been restored to include a light wash back and polish to the timber, the leather upholstery is all new, I use premium Italian cattle hide leather which is fully aniline, its upholstered plain and then hand dyed in stages which is the same process that would have been used originally

The first picture has a very powerful flash on it so you can see all the detail, the most accurate colour in normal light is from picture 2 onwards

We accept payment via card at the warehouse on the day of collection, PayPal or bacs prior to collection We would kindly ask that all items are paid for within 48 hours and collected within 7 working days, we can hold all paid items for 14 days free of charge, there after a £10 a week storage fee will apply for the first two weeks

Please ask before purchase should you wish us to hold something for longer than two weeks, if after three months your item isn’t collected you will forfeit your payment and the item will be placed for sale again

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
