Royal House Antiques
Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this collectable , super fast, classic 2004 Litespeed Veneto Titanium road bike with full Shimano 105 running gear
HISTORY
I am selling my entire bike collection which comprises of around 30 bikes, all luxury high end pieces, there are Colnagos, Mercian, Giant, Roberts, Cervelo’s, Lemon’s, Specialized, with Carbon Titanium or Columbus steel frames and some of the most expensive parts in the world, there are also some frames, again Titanium and Colnago, Bianchi etc, some wheels Zipp 303’s, Campagnolo Hyperion carbons etc, and then a few parts. I also have a NOS in the case Dura Ace 25th Anniversary groupset. These are all that is left over from my bike shop, I have kept them for years hanging around my furniture workshop as pieces of art and to remember the good old days, my new warehouse doesn’t have the same hanging space so these all need to go!
DESCRIPTION
This bike was bought as part of a very interesting bundle, it is a classic Road Racing bike and it comes with the factory specification so full 105 running gear, the owner was a very serious cyclist and had a collection of eight bikes they used regularly. The frame is one of my absolute favorites of all time, I love Litespeed titanium frames especially when they have the wishbone stays which refers to that lovely elegant line along the back. The groupset is top to bottom 105 and its the original yellow label groupset which is very collectable in its own right
Transport wise I would prefer for all bikes to be collected from Pulborough RH201DE after being paid for, I can happily post them or if you are within certain areas, I can have them delivered with my courier, for international shipping please ask for a quote before you bid as the amount listed is just a guide

HISTORY
Roberts Cycles is a custom bicycle frame building business that was originally located in Selhurst near Croydon, South London, and is now located in Poole, England.
The business began soon after World War II when Charles (Charlie) Benjamin Roberts worked as a frame-builder for Holdsworth, Claud Butler, and Freddie Grubb.
In the 1960s, Charlie founded Roberts Cycles at the family home in Sydenham. He was later joined in the workshop by his oldest son Chas, and then by his youngest son Geoff. In 1979, Charlie Roberts died unexpectedly, and Chas took over the management of the business. By then, the business had moved from Sydenham to Anerley, South London. Chas was joined by his brother Geoff and Derek Bailey, who continued to build frames.
The shop at Gloucester Road, Croydon, was closed at the end of May 2015, and Charles Roberts left the business. Roberts Cycles then relocated to the Sussex coast, where Geoff Roberts continues the family business, building and repairing frames.
Production was limited to 100 steel frames per year, and each was made in a bespoke manner to the customer’s dimensions, mass, and equipment specification requirements. A mixture of Reynolds and Columbus tubing was used in construction, all of which was completed in-house. Painting was originally done in-house but was later outsourced and completed to a high standard.
The range includes bicycles built specifically for competition (road race, track), recreational (tandems, tricycles, mountain bikes, touring), and more. Bicycles bearing the name Roberts are all handmade in Sussex by Geoff Roberts using steel tube sets. Complete bicycles or frames can be built to customer specifications and the exact specific requirements of the customer.
Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid

If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment
CONDITION
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please also ask any questions before you bid and not after, all of our items are sold as seen and as listed
Royal House Antiques cannot be held liable for any independent assumptions made regarding the items we sell, if you are unsure on any point, please feel free to ask for clarity
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
IMPORT DUTY
Most countries charge some kind of import duty however almost all of our items won’t incur any charges as the items are exempt from tax due to the age and materials used
For European deliveries the price you will be quoted will include all clearance documentation and any customs charges so there won’t be any additional fees
For international deliveries such as the United States there can be some import duty to pay and or a clearance fee, I would estimate that 99% of all deliveries clear customs without being stopped for either
All duties are the responsibility of the purchaser who is the importer, they can’t be covered by the seller or shipping agent or factored in with additional retrospective discounts
RETURNS
Royal House Antiques offers a no quibble return policy if the item is not as described, if there are any issues with the piece you will be refunded in full once the item has been returned and inspected within 14 days, alternatively if there is a small issue, we can discuss finding a mutual resolution that makes all parties happy
We don’t offer a sale on approval service which means you can purchase the item, have it delivered and if you simply don’t like it, return it, this comes under change of mind or doesn’t fit. There is a lot of time, money and work involved in transporting goods around the world, the costs incurred can be vast so my advice would be if you are unsure on a piece please ask as many questions as you like to make sure you understand everything before you buy, if you are still unsure then please either arrange a viewing in person or if that’s not possible then don’t buy from an online retailer, perhaps look for a local gallery instead
